Stephen is upgrading from a kart to a racing car which means it was time for me to have my first skid on the go-kart before it sells to fund the new car.
Wriggled into the pro’s racing suit, squeezed my cheeks into a helmet, and pulled down the visor as I sat on the starting grid. Tentative at first, each lap got quicker and quicker (though truthfully I only got up to 50% of max speed according to Stephen).
The kart doesn’t have power steering so each corner takes some effort and requires a smoothness through the corners. I’m not exactly a huge fan of going fast, but nonetheless Stephen reckons there was a big smile on my face when I came in – take a look for yourself.
Two of Stephen’s friends also came along to have a go. I’m pretty sure they LOVED it 🙂
